GOTZlLLA
New LP • December 2025
Chicagoan Bridget Gotz defies easy categorization. Her sound weaves together 90s rock grit, garage band rawness, 60s vintage charm, singer/songwriter folk sensibilities, "nerd dance pop," and "electronic cowboy" elements into something entirely her own. With an undeniable gift for crafting irresistible earworms, her melodies stick with you long after the last note fades. It's music that refuses to stay in one lane, much like the artist herself.
Achievements speak volumes: Bridget's breakthrough single "Just Wandering" claimed a coveted spot in the Global Top 50 for the 2024 Vanda & Young International Song Competition, while her track "Eaten By a Snake" earned Semi-Finalist recognition in the 2025 Unsigned Only Music Awards. These accolades are particularly remarkable for a total underdog—an unknown artist breaking through on pure talent alone.
Bridget's musical journey reads like a love letter to DIY authenticity. When the 2020 pandemic tethered her to home, she transformed her garage into a makeshift studio and rediscovered her lifelong calling for songwriting—a craft she'd felt drawn to since elementary school but never fully explored. Working more than full-time in HR while raising a busy family, she'd steal away at 5am and on weekends, joyously chipping away at her debut EP in that converted garage space.
Part of a creative lineage that values artistic exploration, Bridget's personal life has been rich with travel, photography, and countless DIY endeavors. This diverse palette of experiences, inherited from an imaginative, musically-inclined family, infuses her songwriting with authenticity and unexpected perspectives that set GOTZILLA apart from cookie-cutter indie acts.
Her December 2024 self-titled debut EP GOTZILLA defied all conventional wisdom about breaking into music. With zero marketing preparation, no existing fanbase, and having never performed publicly or even told many family and friends she was making an album, two of the EP's five tracks achieved critical acclaim purely on their merit. The secret ingredient? Bridget's eclectic musical DNA and her fearless approach to blending influences that shouldn't work together—but absolutely do.
Currently completing her second EP, Bridget carries forward both triumph and heartbreak. Among its tracks are the final recorded performances of accomplished drummer Danny Reyes, who passed away during production. She considers it an honor that this record preserves his dynamic contributions to her evolving sound.
Working alongside her husband Court Crandall and with the creative brilliance of Producer Kyle Andrews, GOTZILLA continues to break free from genre constraints. Her music doesn't just cross boundaries—it erases them entirely, creating space for listeners who, like Bridget herself, refuse to be easily defined.
GOTZILLA creates a musical home for the genre-curious, the creatively restless, and anyone who believes the best art happens when you stop trying to fit in.
