Chicagoan Bridget Gotz defies easy categorization, weaving 90s rock grit, vintage charm, singer/songwriter folk, and "nerd dance pop" into irresistible earworms that refuse to stay in one lane.

Part of an imaginative, musically-inclined family that values artistic exploration, she'd felt drawn to songwriting since elementary school but never fully explored this calling until the 2020 pandemic tethered her to home. Prompted to finally answer the call, she transformed her garage into a makeshift studio and “figured out how to figure it out.” Stealing away from the everyday grind for 5am recording sessions and weekend creativity bursts, she joyously chipped away at her album, determined to bring her ideas to life.

Her December 2024 debut EP GOTZILLA garnered unexpected critical recognition. "Just Wandering" claimed Global Top 50 in the 2024 Vanda & Young International Song Competition, while "Eaten By a Snake" earned Semi-Finalist recognition in the 2025 Unsigned Only Music Awards—entirely unexpected yet welcome honors for the new artist.
